My Brief Biography

April L. Hamilton is an author, blogger, Technorati BlogCritic, leading advocate and speaker for the indie author movement, and founder of Publetariat. She also offers professional editing, manuscript formatting, ebook conversion, cover design, and author platform consulting services for self-publishing authors and small imprints.

She's spoken at the O'Reilly Tools of Change conference and the Writers Digest Business of Getting Published conference, and has judged in self-published book contests run by The Next Generation Indie Book Awards and Writers Digest.

In her popular self-published reference book, The IndieAuthor Guide (soon to be released in a revised and updated edition from Writer's Digest Books), she offers aspiring self-published authors a roadmap to success. She is also the author of novels available in both ebook and POD form. She's been quoted in MSN Money and The Washington Times, quoted and recommended in The Wall Street Journal, profiled by ABNA Books and The Writing Cast podcast, and her book, The IndieAuthor Guide, has received favorable mention on CNET and The Huffington Post.
