The Publetariat Forum and comment areas are moderated. While we respect free speech and welcome differing viewpoints, we also respect our members, and we expect those members to show respect to one another. Terms of use for the Publetariat Forum and comment areas can all essentially be boiled down to one guiding principle: don’t be a jerk.

SPAM is strictly prohibited, whether it takes the form of a comment, discussion board post, or direct message to other members. While it is acceptable to include a link to relevant material in a comment or discussion board post, it is unacceptable to post messages or comments for the sole purpose of advertising. Note that posts made in the ‘share your work’, ‘share your sites’, ‘user reviews’ and similar areas of the discussion board are not considered SPAM. If we have invited you to share such information, it is not SPAM.

Personal attacks will not be tolerated, and can result in immediate suspension of your account. Please keep criticisms constructive, civil, and on-point. When in doubt, ask yourself if you would be comfortable saying the same thing in the same way in public, with your boss and family members present. If not, don’t post it.
